Frank ‘Obie’ O’Brien, former IRS special agent and avid runner and softball player, dies

Frank “Obie” O’Brien, a special agent for the IRS whose work contributed to the successful prosecution of Vice President Spiro T. Agnew for tax evasion, died of congestive heart failure and pneumonia July 3 at Stella Maris nursing home in Timonium. He was 89.
