Baltimore County state’s attorney candidate disciplined in 2020 for using cellphone to record a courtroom witness

Robbie Leonard, a Democratic candidate for Baltimore County state’s attorney, was reprimanded in 2020 by Maryland’s attorney disciplinary commission for audio recording the cross-examination of an expert witness during a trial with his cell phone. Leonard is challenging incumbent Scott Shellenberger, who raised the issue during a candidate forum Monday night.
