Baltimore’s new 911 call diversion program is reducing police response to calls of behavioral crisis, officials say

Baltimore officials say more than 150 hours of police and fire department time have been saved as a result of a 911 call diversion program, while some residents are concerned the long-term plan to address behavioral health crises doesn’t do enough to focus on people with intellectual disabilities.
