Hospital-based intervention — helping people with gun injuries get connected to mental health resources and tracking their progress along the way — and street outreach programs — placing conflict mediators on the ground in communities with higher rates of homicides and providing support, job training and cognitive behavioral therapy, are just a few of the ideas the county’s Gun Violence Intervention Team will propose in their annual report set to come out June 14.
