Maryland election judge volunteers report slow, sometimes no response to their offers to work pandemic election

The message has been loud and clear: Maryland has a shortage of election judges amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But some across the state who have applied for the position say they have been rebuffed, put off or, worse, not contacted at all.
