Maryland lawmakers pass legislation to help preserve the fertility of cancer patients

Nearly 18 years after surviving cervical cancer, Tamika Felder still longs to have a child. The disease left the 42-year-old infertile. Her insurance at the time would not cover the cost of freezing her eggs for in-vitro fertilization later and the procedure was too expensive to pay for herself….
