The three female Naval Academy alumni — Rep. Elaine Luria (D-Va.), Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.) and Amy McGrath — were among the group of five Naval Academy alumni to run for office on Tuesday. A sixth ran for a state house position in Michigan, a seventh ran for a state house position in Florida with an eighth losing his primary race.
