On ‘road of grief,’ Fallen Heroes Day is another opportunity for first responders’ family members to reflect

Maryland first responders who died in the line of duty will be honored Friday at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium. Some survivors see services like Fallen Heroes Day as a double-edged sword — a large showing of support that helps them in their grieving process, but a stressful time that can bring strong feelings of loss.
