Refrigerators, stoves and other appliances in short supply during pandemic in Maryland and elsewhere

It’s a bad time for the oven to stop working, even worse for the refrigerator. And forget about ordering an extra freezer to stock food in the basement. During a pandemic that temporarily closed factories and has people hunkering down at home, appliance demand is soaring and deliveries are delayed weeks or months.
