Anne Arundel public schools finalize four-week competitive seasons for fall and spring sports

The four-week competitive seasons are two weeks shorter than the option laid out by the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association. The news release issued by the county notes the decision was made by Superintendent George Arlotto “after extensive dialogue that focused on student-athlete safety, the equitable availability of athletics fields, and the integrity of the athletics program.”
