Scammers posing as pastors in latest version of widespread gift-card scheme target Baltimore churchgoers

A longtime member of a Baltimore church lost $800 in the latest iteration of a long-running, widespread scam in which scammers pose as friends, family, clergy and others to trick people into wiring money, buying gift cards and sharing personal information.
